I wanted to remind everyone that today is the final day for course selection. If you need support to select your courses, please see the video and slide presentation on the Stetson website.
Last week, we had a three grade level town hall meetings to discuss student expectations The priority topics that we discussed were proper computer care and usage, appropriate behavior in hallways and lunch rooms, fire drill safety reminders, cell phone expectation, and respectful interactions.
March is upon us and we are looking forward to the warm weather. Please be on the look out for upcoming spirit weeks.

Black History Month
Our Diversity Committee organized another virtual Black History Assembly. The students and staff did a wonderful job researching, organizing, and share their stories. We hope to be back to in person for next year but are proud of the work they continue to do in the virtual setting. Our annual theme is the Arts, and our focus this year is on Story. Many students participated by recording either a poem or a biography, providing a look into many Black Achievers unique stories. We also had our musical groups provide wonderful pieces for the assembly.
We would like to say a special thanks to the following students:
Poetry readers:
London Miller, Georgia Green, Gabriel Masunungure, Adam Nsereko
Biographers:
Mecca Mader
Marshall Beardsley
William Washington and Ryan Wood
Will Darwon
Soloist:
Eleni Marcantonis

All questions regarding baseball tryouts should be directed to Mr. Logan at alogan@wcasd.net

Community Information
Dear Community Partner-
We are thrilled to have so much community participation in our ad campaign designed to build resilience in youth. West Chester Communities That Care's 4 part ad campaign targets areas identified in the PA Youth Survey that will improve outcomes for youth. We know that in order for important messages to "sink in", we need to see them in a variety of places over time. We invite you to join us for round 2 in the fight to address mental health, underage substance use and violence impacting youth in our communities.
By recognizing youth's effort, trusted adults can increase a child's sense of value, improve the emotional health of youth and expect better outcomes related to underage substance use. For professional tips for how you can best recognize effort in youth, visit wcctc.org/resilience-2 #wcyouthmatter
We are pleased to partner with West Chester Communities That Care to highlight this topic which is essential to youth development. West Chester Communities That Care uses an evidence-based coalition model to improve outcomes for youth, specifically around the areas of mental health, underage substance use and violence.
