Baby Shakes
William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon to Mary Arden and John Shakespeare, a town official and businessman, in April of 1564, and presumably studied at the King’s New Grammar School, that taught boys reading and writing.
All in the Family
On November 28, 1582, then 18-year-old Shakespeare married a pregnant 26-year-old Anne Hathaway, who blessed him with three children; Susanna, and twins, Hamnet and Judith.
20 Years of London Fun-don
By 1592, Shakespeare had gained some fame in London as a playwright and actor, and writing plays during the time of plague, eventually publishing his first narrative poem Venus and Adontis in 1593.
Goodbye Cruel World!
After leaving his second best bed to his wife, Anne, and the majority of his estate to his daughter, Susanna, Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616, at the age of 52, leaving behind a tombstone that curses any that attempt to move his bones.
