Message from the Principal
Welcome back Wildcats! I'm hoping this newsletter finds you well and restful from the summer sun and activities. I am looking forward to the upcoming weeks as staff and students begin to return or have their first moments here.
First Day of School
We are looking forward to a great first day of school! Please make sure to refer to the arrival and dismissal procedures that have been shared. It is so important that we safely receive our students and practice social distancing. Everything will take longer. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Car riders will enter the gym to receive their grab-and-go breakfast. All hikers will need to go to the crosswalk to be able to enter the side of the building. All hikers will enter the doors by the bike racks only. They will get their grab-and-go breakfast in the cafeteria before they head to class. Only bus riders will be able to enter into the cafeteria. Students will enter the building at 7:40am.
Dismissal
Please be patient as we adhere to safety guidelines during dismissal. Dismissal the first couple of weeks will be longer. Please be patient as we implement many new procedures and maintain social distancing at the same time.
School Supplies
Limited amount of supplies will be sold during Meet the Teacher on August 19th.
Lunch
Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria with their grade level. For the safety of all, there will be no lunch visitors and no lunch drop offs until further notice.

Message from the Nurse
This message is from Walker Elementary clinic related medication drop off:
If your student requires medication during school hours, please contact the clinic to schedule an appointment to drop off their medication or it can be done during meet the teacher.
Also, as a reminder, CFISD medication policy requires all prescription medication to be in the original container and has clear pharmacy label with the student information. Over the counter medication must be in the original container, unopened, age appropriate and not expired.
An action plan is needed in the case that your child has asthma, severe allergies, seizure, or diabetes. The action plan should be also signed by your student's health care provider. Action plan forms can be found on the district website. I can be reached by phone at 281-345-3220 or email Dalal.saad@cfisd.net
Thank you for all your help.
Best regards,
Dalal Saad RN
