Weathering, Erosion, Deposition
Part one 50/100 points By: Lauren Isaac ACAD 3
Weathering
Definition: Weathering is the wearing away of texture on rocks
Chemical weathering is the process of wearing away of rocks from chemical reactions
Mechanical: is breaking rocks into little ones
Identify:C there is water, air, and acids
M: Animals, plants abrasion, temperature change, release of pressure
Erosion
Definition: Erosion is a type of weathering wear particles are worn away
Types: Gravity, Wind, Glaciers, Surface Water, Water
Illustrations of weathering, erosion, and deposition.
Chemical Weathering
EX: the water washed away the particles and made it smooth.
Erosion
Gravity pulls the rock down and breaks it
wind is when it blows away rock
glaciers push and smosh rock
water smooths the rock
surface water abrasion
Deposition
water places down the water
wind will blow and place particles
ice places particles after moving
animals dig and place
plants roots break and place rocks
mechanical weathering
when water gets into cracks and expands and break of the rocks
deposition
erosion
Deposition
definition: the placing or depositing of particles
types:water ice wind animals plants
