The Memorials

On the trip we as a group visited the Vietnam memorial, the Lincoln memorial and the Jefferson memorial. Although memorials are rather solemn places, here at Crispell we managed to have a good time going to and visiting the memorials.

Iwo Jima monument

This monument displays the struggle of the Americans to hold up the American flag representing America at the battle of Iwo Jima. The battle of Iwo Jima was a big advantage for the US because they were creating military bases on every island they liberated.

The Tour

On the tour we learned about many civil right leaders and what takes place in the rotunda. We also saw the huge scaffolding dome restoration project. WE got to see amazing paintings and statues.

What is it?

The purpose of the capitol is to resemble the strength of America. It is the biggest symbolic representation of power and it is the most architecturally extensive and impressive building in the U.S.

Air and Space

Although we didn't visit either of these museums, these are my favorite museums with pictures of my favorite parts. The Air and Space museum is basically a trip down the line of history showing all of humanities major advances in flight technology including planes and rocket ships.

Natural History

In the museum of natural history you are also taken down the timeline of history to witness everything from dinosaur bones and remains to wax cave man and Indians. The museum is my favorite because it makes everything interesting learning about anything since the beginning of time.

Tomb of The Unknown Soldier

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the cemetery resides on a hill overlooking Washington, D.C. On March 4, 1921, Congress approved the burial of an unidentified American soldier from World War I in the plaza of the new Memorial Amphitheater. At the tomb guards switch every 30 minutes and it is a very professional ritual.

Audie Murphy Gravesite

By the war's end, Murphy had become the nation's most-decorated soldier, earning 28 war medals. Audie is one of the most well known soldiers becoming s priority against all odds.

Remains of the U.S.S. Maine

Built by the Nocross brothers this memorial is a very nice memento to the actual ship wreck that brought the U.S. into world war 1 over a very stupid misunderstanding.

The Challenger

The Space Shuttle Challenger exploded on Jan. 28, 1986, killing all seven crew members. What was supposed to be one of the biggest space launches in history quickly became one of the biggest disasters in history when the challenger failed to leave earths atmosphere.

The Kennedy Gravesite

The Kennedy gravesite home of the eternal flame is an amazing sort of monument that always keeps the eternal flame lit and represents the everlasting impact JFK had on America.

Our first president, selected the site for the White House in 1791. The cornerstone was laid in 1792 and a competition design submitted by Irish-born architect James Hoban was chosen. After eight years of construction, John Adams and his wife, moved into the unfinished house in 1800. During the War of 1812, the British set fire to the President’s House in 1814. James Hoban was appointed to rebuild the house, and Monroe moved into the building in 1817

The Purpose

One of the really big main purposes of the White House is too be the messenger between the president and the people. while receiving about 1000 letters a day and 6500 emails a day the White House is most certainly a busy communication hub. The president gets 10 letters of the most importance from people and reads them. 10 letters a day, and about 25 emails a day.

The national Smithsonian zoo is located in Washington D.C.

you can find almost any sort of animal at the zoo. Most notably though, The frogs and pandas. The zoos mascot and quite frankly there main site of attraction is the Giant Panda's.

The Best

My favorite animals too see were the frogs. they had tons of different kinds of frogs and other amphibians and reptiles.

The Best Part

My most favorite part of the cruise was going on the top deck feeling the breeze and listening to music just having an all around good time, dancing, playing with glow sticks, requesting our own music, it was all very fun.

The Adventure

The Bus and Driver

Our bus driver Greg was the best driver ever. he was really calm and nice. Our bus was fully cooled and always clean.on the bus we played games like trivia and ¨guess the song¨.

The Squad

My group was very fun. We walked around the museums and played games and really enjoyed our experience together. Back at the hotel we enjoyed the luxury showers comfortable beds and over all a welcoming room.

On the way we stopped at a rest stop that had an awesome selection of food places.
