Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy
Dear HRBA Families,
I am sending out one last call for Gala tickets. Our event is on Feb. 22nd, but we have to finalize our catering numbers by this Friday. We really need your help. Our attendance numbers are down quite a bit this year and the reality is that this event figures heavily into our annual budget. If we don't make our $175,000 for this goal, that negatively impacts the resources we have available in our school, as well as financial aid that we can offer to families. So, please help us out by purchasing tickets, bringing friends, spreading the word, and volunteering at the event! Tickets include dinner, dancing, drinks, an auction, and wonderful student performances.
To purchase tickets online please visit: https://hrba.ejoinme.org/Gala2020 and select the purchase tickets link. You will need to enter the following code to receive the discounted rate HRBAFam20. If you are attending the Gala as a guest and are hoping to secure free childcare for the night of the Gala please sign-up with Nina in the office. Babysitting will be first come first serve, so don’t wait to sign-up. If you are looking for volunteer hours we also need you! We will need help with decorations, set-up, event assistance, and clean-up. The online volunteer sign-up is available here: https://hrba.ejoinme.org/Gala2020Volunteer. If you have questions about the event, please contact Sarah McKinney at email@example.com.
Also, I want to remind you that there is no school on Friday, Feb 14th for a staff retreat and no school on Monday and Tuesday, Feb 17-18 for the Presidents' Day holiday.
Have a great week!

Through their hard work, almost 500 tamales were made/sold and approximately $840 was made, after expenses! This allows for the coaches (Ms. Sofia and Ms. Colleen) to purchase uniforms and knee pads, as well as volleyballs for the team. Thank you to our helpers and all who supported the sale by purchasing tamales!!
Thank you also to the parents who provided food/drinks for the teachers' potluck last week!!
