A MESSAGE FROM MR. COLE
Hello Pine Road Families!
The first part of May has certainly just flown by us! It is hard to believe that June is just around the corner! It has been a busy and fun couple of weeks here at Pine Road and the rest of the year looks to continue much the same!
By the time you are reading this PSSA testing will be mostly concluded (with just some make-ups left to finish). Our students did a great job giving their best efforts each and every day! Thank you to the whole school community for your support these past few weeks!
I would be remiss if I did not mention our Multicultural Family Night that was held on the 2nd of this month. It was an absolutely wonderful showcase of the diverse tapestry of families that make up the community of Pine Road! It was wonderful being able to learn about all of the special customs of so many different countries! I can also say that enjoying so many delicious foods was a particularly enjoyable part of the evening! A big thank you to the Pine Road Diversity Committee, comprised of staff and parents, for organizing a wonderful event!
Lastly, take a moment to learn more about the Coins for Cuteness Fundraiser. Thie wonderful charity, which benefits the Ronald McDonald House, was started by Pine Road students in 2014. Those same students are now sophomores at LMHS and are excited to continue their service after a hiatus during the pandemic. I have seen firsthand how generous our community is and am sure this will be a great success!
Please review this newsletter closely as there is a lot of important information about end-of-year events included!

First View Application
Lower Moreland Township School District has partnered with FirstView which is an app for parents that allows for direct access to the status of your child’s bus. FirstView GPS tracks the bus on a map and allows you to set up a customizable geofence around your pick-up/drop-off location, so you can be alerted when the bus is close. You can customize your notifications on the app. This is a free app for parents that can be downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Here are the instructions for getting started with the app: FirstView Bus App. The instruction sheet has the district code and a list of the bus routes that are needed to register. Using this app is optional. The district will continue to send Connect Ed notifications about the status of bus changes or significant delays.
Dismissal Reminder
Families should not be parking in neighborhoods and walking to pick up or drop off students. Thank you for your cooperation.
