Thomas Jefferson was also an architect. Jefferson designed the first buildings for the University of Virginia. He called it his academical village. He wanted it to be a special place for students and professors.
How did Thomas Jefferson revolutionize the government?
Jefferson believed in states rights and rule by majority. He wanted to limit the authority of federal governt powers specifically stated in the constitution. Jefferson thought state government was closer to the people than the national government. Jefferson, wanted to let the people do as they choose. The role of the federal government was to keep the people from injuring one another.
