STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY SYMPOSIUM REGISTRATION
Below are a few items to note:
- There are multiple sessions for the Symposium. You may attend sessions as your schedule sees fit. Dr. King’s conversation will begin at 12pm and will end at 1:30pm.
- There will be viewing sessions held at the middle and high schools. Equity Advocates are coordinating here.
- While the conversation is not designed to specifically engage elementary students, everyone has the option to stream the event within their classrooms.
- As another option for the elementary level, I am planning a mini-lesson for elementary students about Dr. King’s visit and a possible live video drop of Dr. King speaking to our elementary students and discussing her new children’s book!
We hope to see you on February 15th!
Happy National School Counselors Week!

SPORTSMANSHIP
A reminder that all spectators to sporting events MUST wear masks & socially distance while watching the event.
The PIAA defines sportsmanship as pride in your school, your community, your team and yourself. It is also respect for the sport and those who compete, coach, and officiate. We expect spectators to follow adhere to these guidelines. Please remember this when attending any sports contest. Officials may miss calls, but let us not teach our athletes to make excuses or react with little restraint.
Spring sports will begin in March. Students should listen for announcements in February regarding start dates. More information will be included in the Flash.
Spring sports PIAA physical forms can now be uploaded to Family ID:
Parents and students should make sure they are signed up to the Fugett Sports Remind. All important changes or cancellations will be posted in Remind. Use this link for instructions:

The Cougar Cause and the West Chester Food Cupboard
As the cool weather sets in, hot meals become even more important to those struggling to feed their families. Please consider placing a donation for the Food Cupboard in the blue bin marked “Food Cupboard”, found in the main entrance vestibule. You are welcome to send them in with your child and have them place the items in the blue bin.
Items most needed are canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, canned meats, pasta, rice and beans and any toiletries. Any items that you can spare are always gratefully accepted. We continue this much needed service throughout the year. Thanks for your support!

What is East DECA?
You may have heard about us from your niece, neighbor or maybe you are an alumni yourself! We are proud to offer a robust selection of courses in our program as well as the opportunity for your child to become a member of an international Career and Technical Association, DECA.
Students are not required to join DECA, but our program is focused on combining classroom curriculum with 21st Century Learning Skills to help your child succeed in all areas of their education and learn more about career opportunities in business.
