Principal CONTINUES with her Reading Challenge
Mrs. Salinas, our school principal has been doing a phenomenal job in being an extraordinary reading role model to our students. She is reading every month a book to our superb mustang students. She has been making surprising unannounced classroom visits and reading. Mrs. Salinas, has even stepped it up a bit and has been reading during lunch breaks in the cafeteria and during her afternoon announcements. Great Job, Mrs. Salinas with the promotion of literacy.
These are just the few books that Mrs. Salinas has read to our students during these past months.

Author-Diana Gonzales Bertrand
Author Diana Gonzales Bertrand visited our fourth grade students at our school library. Students were able to listen and hear firsthand "writing tips" from an actual author. Author Bertrand provided our students with excellent examples and advice while they are preparing for their Writing State Assessment (STAAR). Fourth grade students and staff are extremely grateful for all the wonderful tips and advice that Author Diana Gonzales Bertrand shared with them.
