The Pizitz Post
For Students, Parents & Families - October 25, 2021
Service
- Some of our sixth grade students initiated the idea to collect food and supplies for individuals suffering after the devastation of Hurricane Ida. Multiple student groups promoted the collection and helped to gather the supplies. Thank you for your contributions!
- Due to Pizitz fundraising efforts, our Ambassadors and SGA representatives had the opportunity to celebrate with a child who received a Magic Moment Grant. Read more about the event here.
- Our seventh grade science teachers created an opportunity for our community to give back by donating to our blood drive. Seventh graders were able to learn about blood through their life science classes this week. Our blood drive was a huge success- we had over 50 viable donations. If you came to donate- thank you!
- Around campus, some of our basketball players had a campus clean-up this week, too.
Every act of service is a gift to our community. It really is a greater blessing to give than receive. We love to hear about the generous acts of kindness that our students participate in regularly.
Lost & Found
We encourage you to put student's names on everything brought to school. If your child has misplaced an item, please have then check in the bins.
Following each nine weeks, we will encourage individuals to check the bins before items are donated to a local charity.
Planning for the Holidays
If you need assistance for the holidays or you would like to sponsor a student at Pizitz, please fill out this form no later than Friday, November 12th.
If you have questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to one of our school counselors- Becca Poe, Whitney Evans, or Amber Payne.
Technology
If students have difficulties with their school-issued device, our technology specialist, Aidan Farms, is on campus each day to provide support. His office is located in the library.
