Northside Wins High Attendance Flag for February!
Mr. Calmes' 4th graders use the buddy system to solve math problems. After he has taught it and modeled it, they try it independently. If they need help, they seek out a classmate to talk them through it.
Mrs. Burdine's reading class takes multiple choice assessments using text dependent questions. Students are taught how to specifically use the text to support their answers
Mrs. Burdine's K class independently fill out data notebooks. After spelling tests are live scored, students go get them from the shelf, color in their bar graph, and file their test in their data notebook.

Congratulations to First Grade Teacher, Amy Gordon! She won our KEA Read Across America door contest. Her class won a set of Dr. Seuss books. Way to lead the way, Mrs. Gordon!
Congratulations to the Northside Academic Team for all their hard work this season, and to Madison and Colin, who won Social Studies awards at the Governor's Cup competition! Madison and Colin will go on to Regionals on March 22nd!
