MES Welcomes Our New School Nurse, Mrs. Lindsay Ross!
I am excited to be at Midway! What a great school!
I have been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years, after graduating from Loyola University Chicago with a BSN. I have worked in a pediatrics practice and in an acute care psychiatric hospital, particularly working with children and adolescents. I also worked for my hospital in the capacity of creating the clinical documentation for our new electronic medical record system. For the last year, I have been subbing in schools throughout our district. I have loved every job I’ve ever had in nursing.
I moved to Lexington from the Chicago area 5 ½ years ago with my husband and our two kids. Our son graduated 2 years ago, and daughter, Reagan, graduates from River Bluff this year! Please reach out to me with any health concerns or information you would like me to have. My direct line is 821-0323 and my email is lmross@lexington1.net. I look forward to serving the Midway community!

French Immersion Crêpe Day
The French Immersion Committee celebrated La fête de la Chandeleur today. Immersion students had the opportunity to try a traditional French crêpe.
Why crêpes?
In short, it was a good way to use up the extra wheat ahead of the new harvest. And symbolically, crêpes look like a sun, so it is a reason to rejoice as the days started to get longer.
And, of course, there is the traditional coin ritual: if you can flip a crêpe while holding a coin in your other hand, you and your family will not have to worry about financial problems.
Thanks for a great Jump 4 Kids day for Camp Kemo!
We had an exciting and heart pounding jump roping activity to celebrate our Jump 4 Kids fundraiser. All of our funds raised are going straight to Richland Pediatric Hospital and Camp Kemo. All students are Midway participated in short, long rope jumping and jump bands. Thank you for all the donations and way to go MUSTANGS on helping raise funds for our community. A special thank you to Hoey family for being our spotlight family for this event. Thank You!
