EAGLES RETURN MONDAY!

Argyle ISD students return for the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 16. We are so excited to welcome back all of our students on campus for an exciting 2021-2022 school year. This year it is #MissionPossible for all our Eagle students and staff. This newsletter serves as a helpful resource for parents and students as you prepare for the start of the year.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES 2021-2022

As we approach the start of school on Monday, Aug. 16, we would like to share the COVID-19 guidelines for the 2021-2022 school year. These guidelines are available on the district website along with the UIL's COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact your campus nurse.

BUS TRANSPORTATION

Here are some very important reminders and helpful links for our Eagle families.


  • Please have riders at the bus stop 5-7 minutes before pickup
  • All elementary students (PreK-5th) must have a bus pass to ride
  • Bus passes can be picked up at each campus Meet The Teacher Night
  • PreK-3rd grade rider must have a parent at the afternoon stop if they do not have a 4th or 5th-grade sibling
  • For student safety, please make sure to stop when buses are unloading and loading

The following are the start (first bell) and the end times for each Argyle ISD campus.


Hilltop Elementary: 7:20 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
Argyle West Elementary: 7:20 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
Argyle Intermediate: 7:35 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.
Argyle Middle: 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Argyle High: 8:20 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

STUDENT NUTRITION

Argyle ISD will provide free breakfast and lunch to all Eagle students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th during the 2021-2022 school year.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture and Texas Department of Agriculture are allowing schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program to provide free meals to all students regardless of program eligibility. This additional funding has been approved for the 2021-2022 school year.

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided every school day. The meals include a choice of one entree, a choice of fruits and vegetables and a choice of milk. In order for a meal to be free, breakfast or lunch must include an entree and at least one serving of fruits or vegetables.

FRESHMAN & NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

All incoming 9th graders and all students new to Argyle High School are encouraged to attend New Student Orientation on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m. This will be a great way to learn more about the new campus and meet staff before the school year starts! It's also the first event at the new campus!

The event will last until about 6:30 p.m. No registration is needed. Parents and students are welcome to attend.


Argyle High School is located at 6601 Canyon Falls Dr.

SAFETY REMINDERS

Here are a few Argyle ISD traffic safety reminders from Police Chief Cairney.


  • Left-hand turn from southbound HWY 377 at the AMS marquee is still ILLEGAL
  • Left-hand turn from Old Justin Rd onto HWY 377 is ILLEGAL
  • Be cautious if the bus is flashing yellow lights. Passing a bus with flashing red lights may be illegal and can be a $500 fine
  • New 4-way stop in the AMS parking between the fieldhouse and baseball field parking lot
  • The Town of Argyle has a hands-free ordinance, so you may NOT text or use your phone while driving within town limits. State law also forbids cell phone use while driving in school zones throughout the state.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION - PROOF OF RESIDENCY

Steps for Uploading Current Electric Bill:

1. Log into Family Access. Click here.
2. Click on the "Proof of Residency" tile (marked "NEW" with green heading)

3. Then upload your July or August electric bill & select the option that applies to you and click blue "Submit Form" button
4. When you have successfully uploaded the form, a pop-up window will say "Thank You!"

NEW ARGYLEISD.COM LAUNCHES!

We are excited to announce the launch of the new ArgyleISD.com website! ArgyleISD.com features a new district website and campus websites. These sites provide a more user-friendly online experience for our parents, students and staff.


The campus sites include news, large photos galleries, quick links, social media feeds, campus calendars to follow and a staff directory.


Additional features include easier navigation and multiple large buttons to help users find information quickly. The shift to the new website also offers the Argyle ISD community a much more responsive website. Mobile device users (phones and tablets) will find the website adapts to different devices and offers a better experience.

Important Athletic Physicals Information for Eagles

For the 2021-2022 school year, the UIL has returned to the normal requirement of all athletes, grades 7-12, needing an updated pre-participation physical (PPE). All athletes will need to have their physical on file prior to the first day of school.


High school athletes will need to turn in physicals to the Athletic Training staff
