WELCOME TO OUR NEW STAFF
Welcome to the Greens Prairie Elementary Faculty! As a new staff member, we wanted to tell you about our Remind 101 texting system, our online LiveBinder for the Faculty Handbook, Comp Time, ESL, GT trainings and other campus details that will help your transition to Greens Prairie be successful.
REMIND 101
The administrative team uses a Remind 101 texting system to send out reminders to the staff. These texts have been reminders to wear jeans, safety updates, bad weather delays etc. Please take a moment to sign up. It can be done by simply clicking on this link and adding your cell phone number. If you have trouble, send Kathryn Ballard, kballard@csisd.org , another email with your cell phone number and she can set you up directly. If you are reading this from your smartphone, you should be able to do it from there too. Please don't feel bad if you need my help.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & COMP TIME
It is important to grow professionally. With this in mind, the district has designated three comp days during the school year (Novemer 19, 20 & April 22nd). To be eligible to “Comp Out” employees must have attended at least six hours of approved staff development as compensated time for each day. The training must be “on your own time”. Sessions held after school, on weekends, on school holidays, or during the summer after contracts end are eligible to be considered for the comp time. If employees are paid for their time, they cannot count the training as comp time. The Assistant Principal, Kathryn Ballard, keeps track of these hours, so please email her if you have questions about summer training. Her email is kballard@csisd.org
Please see smore link below for comp time communication sent out from Donna to our campus staff.
This link is to trainings being done by campus staff that can count towards comp time too.
