Bite Size Behavior Tips from our Behavior Interventionist, Tracy Klare
Meaning What You Say and Saying What You Mean-The Art of Saying No
Have you ever found yourself negotiating with your child? Have you ever found yourself saying no, then turning around and saying yes? Telling your child no isn't a bad thing or a hard thing, but the tricky part is sticking with your "no". There are many reasons why we should tell our kids "no" from time to time...
1. Hearing no helps kids deal with future disappointments
2. Hearing no helps kids become more thankful for the things they already have.
3. Hearing no establishes boundaries and structure for kids.
Remember....saying no doesn't mean you don't love your kids; it means that you want the best for their future.

Joke of the week:
Q: What is a turkey’s favorite dessert?
A: Peach gobbler!
Math Tip:
Math is a language and is not just about the procedural “how-to” aspect of numbers. The few minutes it takes to watch the video below should be an insightful great message for the importance of a strong foundation in numeracy and number sense.
Reading/ Writing Tip:
With your child, brainstorm and write a list of things that you are thankful for.
