There are grasslands in North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and Africa.

The temperature range can vary from 70 degrees Fahrenheit and -40 degrees Fahrenheit from summer to winter.

There are over 300 species of birds in the grasslands. The grass grows to 2-5 feet high in different grasslands. One grassland is almost considered a desert because it receives 10 inches of rain a year and has very short grass. All grasslands add up to one quarter of the earth's land. There are two types of grasslands: tropical, and temperate.
