January Asset Builder of the Month - Cameron Holt

Cameron Holt is a second grade student at Frank Nicholas Elementary and is our choice for Asset Builder of the Month. Cameron exemplifies many of the 42 Developmental Assets. At home, she has a lot of family support from her mom and dad (Asset #1). She also spends a lot of time with her grandma (Asset #3) and attends church (Asset #19) whenever she can. She is responsible for feeding her pet cat, Fluffy, and keeping her room clean (Asset #30). At school, Cameron is respectful and caring (Asset #26). She is honest (Asset #29) and turns her homework in on time each week (Asset #23). She is a member of the Junior Youth Leadership Board (Asset #9) that helped with the homecoming parade and took ornaments to the local nursing home. She also raised enough money for Frank Nicholas during the fundraiser (Asset #24) to earn a limo ride to McDonald’s for lunch. Cameron has participated in a hip hop dance class in the past and would like to do so again soon (Asset #18). In her spare time, she loves to read (Asset#25) chapter books; especially from the Junie B. Jones series. Her favorite asset is #42 Grit because, “It means you should never give up.” That attitude will come in handy in the future as she prepares for a career in the music industry as a singer (Asset #40). Congratulations, Cameron, for being our Asset Builder of the Month.
