Weekly Knight Notes

Week of 1-19-15

Tomorrow morning you will be meeting as teams. We have a team leader meeting tomorrow right after school and you can discuss items that need to be brought up for that. Also, talk with your team about what our next step in No Excuses University should be. We need to make sure this movement continues to have an impact on our building.

Sub Folders

As our rosters have changed since the beginning of the school year, make sure you are updating your sub folders. This makes attendance easier for your substitute teachers.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent teacher conferences are on February 11th from 5:00-7:00. The office will provide the food for teachers like in the fall. Students will receive progress reports that evening for the 3rd nine weeks. We sent home a letter and will also place a School Messenger to remind parents.

Your team may want to discuss calling some families that you feel you need to talk to that evening.

Change regarding Readiness Test........Again

Ahh, the DOE has changed things regarding the readiness test again! After a day that included a staff meeting, interruption to science classrooms, and Lisa and Laura spending ALL DAY installing icons on nearly 140 laptops, we WILL NOT be doing the test this Tuesday.

CTB said the test content being downloaded was still not correct and the new one will come out later this month. And this icon may not even be the correct one for ISTEP testing. More information will come out soon, hopefully, regarding this test.

If this is any prelude to what ISTEP testing will be like, it isn't going to be good! I do want to thank all of you for your willingness to change things on the fly and making these changes as smooth as possible. I know our staff can roll with the sudden changes and stress that comes with this time of year.
