Wednesday October 7th: “Statewide Fire Drill” at 10:00 a.m. Families are encouraged to have a fire drill in their homes and practice in different parts of the house, meeting up at their designated areas. Practice scenarios in multiple parts of the home to be sure the child knows how to escape in the event of a real emergency

This year, our school will be participating in the Labels for Education® program. Through the program we can earn points which can be redeemed for FREE educational merchandise!
Our goal this year is to collect 1,200 points. It’s easy to help – simply save UPCs and beverage/sauce caps from participating products and bring them to any GCA Event or mail them to:

GCA Cook Book - Recipe Submission Deadline October 15th!
Do you or your student like to cook? The PTSO has just the thing for you. This cookbook will be for GCA students, Learning Coaches, and Staff to share their recipes and help our school at the same time.
You will have the opportunity to have your students name and picture, if you choose, in the cookbook for your family and friends to see. The cookbook committee is in need of your very special recipes and even science recipes.
The deadline to submit your recipe is October 15th.

There's Always Something New to Learn!
This month's topic: BEHAVIOR STRATEGIES for LEARNING COACHES
In this three-part workshop, we’ll explore strategies for working with your children, reducing conflict, and helping your students make better choices. At the end of this session, you’ll receive tips to try at home and an opportunity to follow-up and tell us how things are working. You can do this, and we’re here to help!

The Georgia Cyber Academy is governed by a Board of Directors composed of nine community leaders, some of whom are GCA parents.
