iTeach MakerCamp 2019
Day 1--June 17
Maker Camp Day 1
Today, the students explored the KSU iTeach MakerBus on campus. They engaged with STEM concepts and Maker Education as they created their own corn hole game using a laser cutter. This gave them a chance to see speed, distance, and time in action. Then, they learned to sew while creating the bean bags that will be tossed in order to play the game. The students started their afternoon session by completing a Breakout that taught them about growth mindset—which is the belief that through failed attempts, you can learn to do anything as long as you keep trying. It is our hope that some of the lessons the students learned during this activity will be remembered as we tackle different challenges throughout the week.
Thank you for such a great day!
