Hello Parents!
STAR Binders
Students will write one cool thing they did or learned for the day in their agenda every afternoon. Please check agendas daily to see what your child did and talk with them about their school day.
Today students received a brown paper bag activity. They may pick 5 small items that represent who they are and bring it in to share to the class by Friday, September 2nd. Please write your child's name on the bag.
What we are learning this week...
Math: Visualizing, & representing numbers 1- 30.
Social Studies: Beginning our Citizens of Many Communities Unit which include; conflict resolution and why we need rules in our home, school, and community.
English Language Arts: How to pick a "just right" book, discuss real reading vs. fake reading, review characters from Letter Land.
Writing: Discussing different things we can write about and creating our first unassisted writing sample about summer break.
