Who Am I?

By: Kylie Springer

Self-Awareness

my interest are: any sport the school has to offer, making new friends, meeting new/more family members, and many others.

my values are: Anything passed down from my family members, friends, and anything that I buy. (so yes i valued that McDonald's burger i ate)

why should these things be considered when starting a career? because they are what makes me, me!

Where Am I Going?

My career as a...

Job description:Associate Athletic Trainers

Assistant Athletic Trainers

Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainers

Student Athletic Trainers.

Median salary:Forty Two Thousand Six Hundred dollars each year.

Job Outlook:Employment of athletic trainers is projected to grow 21 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. However, because it is a small occupation, the fast growth will result in only about 4,900 new jobs over the 10-year period. As people become more aware of sports-related injuries at a young age, demand for athletic trainers is expected to increase, most significantly in colleges, universities, and youth leagues.

Cluster: Heath science

work schedule: depending what sport you go into, then that would be your schedule i plan on going with football so typically i would work somewhere from 12-5 or 6 hours a day! during season you will work everyday to be there for the players in practice. during the "of " season id work maybe every other day or everyday depending on what team i work for.

work environment: i would see a lot of time outside watching the players and being there in case someone gets hurt.

something interesting about my career: everything about my career is interesting meeting NFL players and helping them get better so they could go play there game again! plus when i got married and have kids they would be able to meet the NFL stars!

How Do I Get There?

what college would i like to go to? University of Michigan: Ann Arbor, Mich.

I chose this college because: it is the number 1 best college for athletic trainers to attend, so I will have the best education as possible, the only downside is that it is far away from home:(

what degrees will i need for my career? Bachelor's degree at minimum; masters degrees are common.

cost for tuition: 36,412

I hope to qualify for a physical therapist or a athletic trainer.
