Mr. Joseph Case HS

Rehearsals are underway for the second annual Mr. Joseph Case High School Contest. Sponsored by the Student Council (and under the supervision of Mr. Adam Palmisciano), Mr. Joseph Case High School raises money for the many smaller clubs at our school. The event (which was a highlight of the 2015-2016 school year) will take place Friday evening, January 13, 2017, beginning at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets will be on sale beginning January 10 during all three lunches. General admission is $5 in advance; $7.50 at the door. Hosting the event will be our 2016 reigning Mr. JCHS, Billy Brodeur. Who will continue the legacy? Stay tuned!

Case AP teacher receives state award

Congratulations to AP Language and Literature teacher April Hanks who was recognized this week by Mass Insight Education as a Partners in Excellence Teacher Award recipient for her exemplary work in the AP STEM and English Program. She is one of 52 Massachusetts AP teachers who are being celebrated for outstanding contributions to student success during the 2015-2016 academic year. She will be honored this spring in Boston at an evening ceremony. Last year, 19 out of Miss Hank's 23 AP Lang students qualified on the exam with a score of 3, 4 or 5.

Episode #3 will be emailed to all families after post-production is complete. My thanks to teacher Tommy Whalen and senior Nicholas Bello for their assistance and encouragement today! Another fine production of Joseph Case High School Media.

Happy Holidays

Today concluded with our annual Faculty Holiday Luncheon in the Learning Commons. This year the event was complemented by student carolers. It was also the big "reveal" day for our annual faculty Secret Santa event.

It's been a great December at Joseph Case High School. I look forward to seeing students returning to school on January 3 and resolving to be even more fabulous in 2017.
