Surveys:
Parents and Students:
Please take a few moments of your time to complete this survey. The information is used by the Collins High School Youth Services Center to determine how we may be able to better serve our students and their families. The Collins High School Youth Services Center provides programs and services for ALL Martha Layne Collins High School students and families. This is made possible through funding from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. To obtain this funding, the center is required to conduct a Needs Assessment Survey to determine programs and how funds will be spent.
This is an anonymous survey. All responses are confidential and questions do not ask for you to identify yourself or your students.
Thank you,
Leesa Stivers

State Meet
The Running Titans traveled to Lexington on Nov. 4th to compete in the Class AA State cross country meet at the Kentucky Horse Park. The girls finished 22nd out of 27 teams with junior Maddie Petty (62nd) leading the way as she has done for the past three years at State. Freshman Lilly Vest was the next Titan across the line in 22:06. Freshman Abigail Jacobs (PR), senior Bianca Saucedo, and sophomore Hallie Elmore (season best time) rounded out the scoring. This was the girls’ sixth trip to State.
The boys finished 14th out of 32 teams in their seventh trip to the State meet in the eight year history of the school. Sophomore Nolan Thomas led the way for the Titans for the second straight year with a 60th place finish. He was followed closely by senior Cole Lyles (66th). Sophomores Jeremy Yocum and Maxxwel Megibben, as well as senior Charles Gassen rounded out the Titan scoring.
Head Coach George Sanderlin said, “We have a very young girls’ team with only one senior and three freshmen in our top seven. So this was a great experience that will position them to finish strong next year. Our boys had a great showing and placed higher than we had projected.”

Since this year's event will be held on Veteran's Day, the BETA students would like to say Thank you to our Veteran's by raking their yard. If you know of a veteran that would love this to happen to their yard, please email Leesa Stivers ( Leesa.stivers@shelby.kyschoosl.us) the Veteran's name and their address. Please note we will only share the addresses with the students for this project.
