alan turing when he was young
Alan Turing as actually a very talented long distance runner as a young man.
Alan Turing with his wife
I think Alan Turing only had a wife to hide his sexuality (he was a homosexual).
enigma machine
this machine was a German machine used to pass information in WW2 but Alan Turing was the man to crack the coding of enigma and so the allies could listen to all the german communications
What he did
During the Second World War, Turing worked for the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS) at Bletchley Park, Britain's codebreaking centre. For a time he led Hut 8, the section responsible for German naval cryptanalysis.
enigma
He devised a number of techniques for breaking German ciphers, including improvements to the pre-war Polish bombe method and an electromechanical machine that could find settings for the Enigma machine.
