Gardens' Greetings
Here's SMORE news to share....2020-2021
Welcome to Bradley Gardens
Our talented and devoted teachers are planning and preparing for your child(ren). Our fun and peppy office team is registering new families, ordering needed materials and updating student files. Our dedicated and hard working custodians have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning the facility. Finally, our much-appreciated PTO is gearing up to welcome families, provide volunteer opportunities, and offer other exciting events and programs, all while following safety and wellness guidelines. Bradley Gardens strives to partner with our supportive community, with the common goals of nurturing responsible, caring students and promoting high-level learning, while living in JOY. My hope is that all children will love our school and find a learning environment that is positive, safe, warm, caring, as well as a fun place to learn and grow.
We are delighted to welcome Nancy Mineo, Annie Woodward, Kimmy Briggs, Joanne Weems, Jaime Deen, and Dawn Baker to our staff.
If you have been at Bradley Gardens, you may have noticed the fencing installed around our playground. This will increase the safety of our students on the playground. There have been some interior projects as well to increase storage needs or to update our facilities.
The Parent Portal (Powerschool) will go live on Tuesday afternoon (9/1). There you will find your child's teacher for the school year. A great deal of time, effort and thought has gone into the process of student placement for the school year. Careful consideration was given to the input from staff and families as well as student learning styles. Classrooms have been balanced academically and socially. Our class lists are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level. Moving students is difficult without causing imbalances and inequities. Thank you so much for being positive with your child and helping him or her understand that it is impossible to place all students with a preferred best friend or teacher. ALL of our staff works hard to make school a positive experience for ALL students. Please remember that at this time we will not accommodate any requests for changes. Once you have the name of your child's teacher, you can navigate to their website for a welcome letter. The suggested supply list for students per grade level is available on the website. This will guide you for when we come back in person, although, your child may want to have some of the materials available during the virtual instruction as well. If you are not able to obtain the additional materials suggested, be assured that each child will be provided with any supplies needed for his or her instruction.
Please be sure to sign up for a time to collect the materials/books needed for your child. The link is below. Spots are limited to 30 spots every half hour.
Although this start to the school year already looks different than any other year, we remain dedicated to providing your child(ren) an interactive and engaging distance learning experience. Your commitment to keep Bradley Gardens a celebrated and successful school is appreciated. It remains a privilege to serve as your principal and I am thankful to know and get to know your children. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all.
School officially begins on September 8th at 8:30 pm!
See you ‘virtually’ very soon!
Warmly,
Mrs. Barbara Binford
