as much as you might want to...
let them wear a santa hat or a beanie...
have a free day in your class...
let things slide a bit these last seven days of the calendar year...
Our kids will rise and fall to the expectations that we set. It is a slippery slope if we let things go. Keep pushing kids to be there best. Every minute. Every day. Our kids deserve it and there is no better staff to do it.
Finish strong.
Drill Day - Tuesday, December 18
At 2:00 on Tuesday, December 18, we will have several drills.
Lockdown
Lockout (Shelter in Place)
Bad Weather
Fire Drill
This is during 4th period, and your students in that class will have tested on Friday, December 14. Be advised if you have students absent on Friday, they will need to make arrangements to test at a time other than that time.
Tomorrow, at 10:30 am, all students currently in Professional Communications will be dismissed to the PAC for a presentation from local law enforcement on how to interact with police officers (SRA to follow).
Semester Exams are Next WEEK!
We will be having our first semester exams prior to the Winter Break.
No - I repeat - NO - one more time - NO exams will be given early. If a student is absent for the exam, they will need to take the exam after they return not before they leave.
When we return from the break, students will continue to have assignments, quizzes, and awesome learning experiences that will reflect in the first semester grade up until Friday, January 11 (the end of the first semester).
Friday, December 14 - Periods 2 and 4
Monday, December 17 - Periods 7 and 5
Tuesday, December 18 - Periods 1 and 3 (and 5 if more time is needed)
Wednesday, December 19: Periods 6 and 8 (and 1 if more time is needed)
quick shout out to Stu Tay - his first staar testing in a long time and he nailed it. Stu - we are so glad you are here and appreciate all you do!
Big fine arts weekend
The kids and Mrs. Kelly did a great job in Addam's Family this weekend!
