Welcome Back to Another Great Year at Turner Elementary!

Teachers and staff are eagerly preparing and we cannot wait to see our hallways filled with smiling faces in just a few short weeks!

Each year, our Turner teachers choose a theme and this year, our theme is “Leveling Up at Turner”! We can’t wait to watch our students learn and "level up" as we strive for academic excellence for all of our students!

We are so excited to partner with you in your child’s growth. Turner families can expect weekly communication from teachers and at least monthly communication from school administrators. In addition, look for our upcoming Turner Elementary Facebook page, where we will celebrate all the great things happening on our campus. We also invite you to join us at our annual Meet the Teacher event, and throughout the year for PTO meetings, our Fall S.T.R.E.A.M. Night (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Music night), our Spring Open House, and a whole host of other events at our school. All of our school events will be posted on our website at and in our monthly emailed newsletters. Print versions of newsletters will be sent home with each student at the end of each month.

Some upcoming events are:

Meet the Teacher (Kindergarten-2nd grade) on August 4th, 5:30-7:00 P.M.

Meet the Teacher (3rd grade-5th grade) on August 5th, 5:30-7:00 P.M.

Our First PTO Meeting and Open House on September 29, 2022, 5-7 P.M.

Student safety is of the utmost importance to us. As part of our safety plan, we will use Control Point again this year for our car rider line. In the next few days, the primary contact in every family will receive an email from Control Point, asking that the account for your student be activated. We strongly encourage EVERYONE (even bus riders) to activate their accounts with Control Point so that it can be used in the car rider pick up line, should you ever need it. ALL cars picking up a student must have a barcode. Once your account is activated, we will print your barcode and have it available for pickup at Meet the Teacher. (In a pinch, barcodes may be scanned from un-cracked phone screens.) Thank you for helping us ensure your child’s safety with Control Point.

We do hope to see you next week at our Meet the Teacher event, where you will be able to sign up for bus transportation, pick up a car rider barcode, purchase a spirit shirt, update your contact information, take a picture in our photo booth, and of course, MEET THE TEACHER! As a bonus, your student will leave with a prize just for coming. Avoid a long line at Meet the Teacher by checking your Parent Self Serve Account on August 4th at ahead of time to see your child’s teacher(s). We are so excited to see you and welcome you back for another year at Turner!
