Veteran's Day
We would like to invite all Mathews families, friends, and neighbors to our Veteran’s Day Program on Monday, November 11, at 8:00 a.m.
IT'S GETTING CHILLY!
As the weather gets chilly, please make sure your student dresses appropriately and brings a jacket if needed. We will continue going outside for recess.
Also, please label all clothing, water bottles, lunchboxes, or any belongings sent to school.
October 28 - November 1
Language Arts:
Students will describe the problem and resolution in order to identify plot development.
Students will recognize characteristics of fairy tales in order to maintain meaning.
Students will use periods to end statements.
Math:
Students generate a set using concrete and pictorial models that represents a number that is more than, less than, and equal to a given number up to 20. Students compare sets of objects up to at least 20 in each set using comparative language.
Homework:
No Homework!
November 4 - 8
Language Arts:
The student will be able to discuss rhythm and rhyme in nursery rhymes in order to have a deeper understanding of the genre.
The student will be able to add details to pictures in order to revise drafts.
Students will use adjectives to tell what kind and how many.
Math:
Students compose and decompose numbers with objects and pictures.
Homework:
Due on Friday 11/8
Rules At Home
The homework sheet will be sent home on Tuesday, November 5th.
November 11 - 15
Language Arts:

Tis' the season to be thankful —A pumpkin worksheet will be in your child’s green folder this week. Write about what you are thankful for and color the pumpkin. We can’t wait to read it!
