TypingClub in 5th Grade
5th grade technology students are learning a new keyboarding program called TypingClub. The program is fully web-based (Internet connection needed), so students can use it to practice keyboarding in class, at home, etc. Practicing at home is highly encouraged; 15-20 minutes a day can make a big difference. The two most important practice tips for your child is to avoid looking at the keyboard while typing, and proper posture. The goal for students in 5th grade is to type approximately 35WPM. Click on TypingClub and log on with the following information:
Username: whole first name and first letter of last name (ex. leahw)
Password: mayfield
