LHS Presents "5 Women Wearing the Same Dress" 12/08-12/10
In Alan Ball’s hilarious comedy, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, five very different bridesmaids find themselves hiding together in an upstairs bedroom, hoping to escape the wedding reception of a bride that -- they soon realize -- none of them really like! There is Meredith (Chloe Sentz), the rebellious little sister of the bride; Frances (Brooke Kelly) a highly religious, sweet cousin; Mindy (Keira Lee), a blunt, good-hearted sister of the groom; Georgeanne (Kenzie Hull), a friend from high school whose marriage is falling apart; and Trisha (Kaelonnah Darlich), a jaded beauty whose pessimism and doubts about men are proven false when she meets Tripp Davenport (Chase Wootton), an usher at the wedding. In this cramped bedroom above the wedding, these five identically dressed women talk, laugh, argue, cry, console one another, and slowly become friends.

The Pulsera Project
Are you looking for a meaningful Christmas present or stocking stuffer?
Over the next two weeks the Interact club and Spanish students will be partnering with The Pulsera Project, a fair trade nonprofit organization that seeks to empower, inspire, and educate people in Central America and the U.S.
The Pulsera Project provides sustainable, well-paying work opportunities for artisans in Nicaragua and Guatemala, most of whom make colorful hand-woven bracelets, or “pulseras” in Spanish. The project then creates a market for their artwork by partnering with schools across the U.S
Find a student who is selling or contact Mrs. Bernal to buy one (or more!). We will also be setting up a table at the boys basketball game on the 6th!

From the Nurse's Office...
The health office would like to wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy holiday season !
Just some reminders:
If your student is sick please keep them home. According to our school guidelines your student should be fever free for 24 hours ( that is without any medications) before returning to school. Also, according to the school guidelines, the student should be free from vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours (without the use of medication) before returning to school.
The nurse’s office does not have allergy medicine for students, if your child needs allergy medicine please have them take it before coming to school. The nurse’s office also does not have any cold medicine so if your child is in need of cold medicine please be sure that they are taking a 6 -12 hours medicine before coming to school so that it will get them through the school day.
All 11th graders are required by Pennsylvania school health law to have a physical to enter the eleventh grade. If you have not already done so please turn in all completed physical forms as well as update immunization records to the school nurse.
Be sure that your students are eating breakfast so that they are fueled to start the day. Breakfast is available for free in the cafeteria in the morning before school starts for the students convenience.
The best way to keep your students healthy is to remind them to wash their hands with soap and water or to use hand sanitizer whenever they enter the classroom or cafeteria.
