Forest Avenue School
Month of the Military Child - Purple Up Day is Tomorrow
Purple Up Day Agenda
Our daily morning announcements this month have featured our military students introducing themselves, mentioning the branch of service their parent(s) are in and reciting the pledge to the flag.
The afternoon celebration features a full parade around the school with all students in the hallways applauding as the military parade goes by. We ask that military students wear one or more pieces of clothing from their parent(s). The parade will continue to our cafeteria and the military students will go up on stage. All students will fill the cafeteria and the entire school body will sing patriotic songs.
Due to our parking issues, seating will be very limited. Parents are welcome but they may have to stand in the cafeteria. Parents may take their children home after the assembly. Please check those students out at the office.
