Thank You!!
You guys are simply THE BEST!! Last week went off completely without a hitch! I don't know what you tell the little guys to get them to be so amazing in the halls and in classrooms all day long, but whatever it is, thank you!! You gave the testers the absolute best environment to have the opportunity to do their BEST! Really, we could not have asked for the first round of STAAR testing to have gone more smoothly! THANK YOU!
Come if you can MONDAY NIGHT!!!
The Silver Unicorn Award committee listened to US, and Yvette Gomez is receiving a 2019 Silver Unicorn Award!! Woohoo!!! If you can make it to the board meeting Monday night at 7pm, I know she would love to have some of you cheering her on from the crowd!! Please come if you are able! They should be first on the agenda so you should be finished by 7:30. This is such a great honor for a wonderful lady who gave her whole working adult life to the children in our community.
Fine Arts Night, Tuesday, 5:30pm
The halls are looking WONDERFUL for Fine Arts Night!!! I believe the way it will work is 5:00 - 5:30, PTA meeting to announce officer nominees for next year. Then, at 5:30, they will announce the Reflections winners, the choir will sing immediately following and then the halls will open for walkthroughs to see their art.
Meets/Masters Days
I still have not received dates from several of you for your Meets/Masters meeting days. Please let me know if you are electing NOT to use this day as the district has provided funds and I need to let them know they can be used elsewhere.
April 24th Career Day Rotations
Lesley has worked to coordinate a Career Day Rotation for Friday, April 24th. All classes will rotate through 8 stations to hear about different careers. There will be an alternate specials schedule that she will share with you along with your rotation schedule. Lunch times will remain the same.
Summative Conferences
Professional Staff: sign up for a time to have your summative conference. Make sure you have uploaded your evidence documents for your goals.
Paraprofessional Staff: you will receive an invite from your assigned administrator for your summative conference.
Field Trip Prep
Please don't forget to notify the cafeteria and the nurse well in advance of your field trip. The cafeteria has to order the supplies at least 10 days in advance, and Nurse Katelin has to have time to prep meds. Thanks for helping them with this!

You will be sending home the Annual Letter of Intent to Return to NBISD on Monday, April 22nd. These are due to be returned by Friday, May 3rd from all Kinder thru 4th grade students in order to help us staff for next year.

Just a reminder that Lori Gruwell, Clay Gillentine and Kathy Kenney will be on campus all day on Friday, May 3rd, for Stay Interviews. They would love to hear from you any time you are able during the day to visit. They will be set up in the Intervention Lab for you to stop by. This is not required, but I think you'll be glad you stopped by!
Staff Attendance
We are entering into the time when staff attendance is really critical. Our schedules are full of events, our schedules are irregular and the kids just begin to get excited for summer (the kids? who are we kidding!), and all of these things make students more difficult to manage.... and guess what? The subs KNOW this, and they tend NOT to pick up sub jobs this time of year! Thanks for being here as much as you can!!
