Box City
FREE Professional Development
What Is It?
Box City is a nationally recognized interdisciplinary experience in city planning. Students plan and build a model city and as a result are better able to understand how a real city works and the inter-dependency between citizens, the builders, and nature. This curriculum is rich with opportunities for cooperative learning, participation, creative thinking, and decision making. Box City strongly supplements teaching to the Common Core Standards in ELA and Mathematics as well as GLCE’S in social studies and science.
