#OPSProudWeek: Next week is OPS proud week! We are going to have the following be the dress for next week:
- Monday: BMS Gear and jeans!
- Tuesday: Bryan Middle Gear with nice pants (It is open house night, so feel free to dress up.)
- Wednesday: Wellness Wednesday
- Thursday: Kindness Thursday (jeans and a kindness shirt or BMS gear)
- Friday: If you paid your dues, jeans and BMs day!
Lock Out: We will have a brief LOCKOUT Drill on Friday, September 10 at 10:00AM. During a lockout, no person (parent, student, staff member, guest, etc.) may enter or leave the building and classes will proceed as usual (to the extent possible). A lockout ends when the police department confirms that the threat has passed. During this time, students should not be issued passes, however, you can continue teaching class. I would also suggest making sure your door is shut and locked.

#BeKind Contest (Mrs. Suhr): All-
We will be extending the deadline for the contest to next Tuesday- this is due to interruptions in CUBS this past week. The goal is to be done for open house. Also when your display is I complete, please snap a pic and send it to me- we will have all the winners announced next Friday!!!! Thank you in advance for building relationships with your CUBS and promoting kindness at BMS! Have a great Kindness Day- Steph
Cubs (Mrs. Liekhus): Staff, Monday you will find an OPS envelope in your mailbox for students who have lunch applications that will be expiring soon. We need families to fill out new ones so students will know what their status will be for next year. Please encourage these students to have them filled out and return as soon as possible to the main office.
Thanks for all your help!
Melanie 🙂

T1 Mid Quarter Progress Grading Window (9/12), Grade Posting Document, and Printing Report Cards
Good morning all,
The first quarter progress window opens on Thursday (tomorrow) at 6 AM. All grades are due to be posted by Monday at 3:30. Posting instructions are attached. A few things to remember:
- Advisory is PA/FA. Do not post any other grade for Advisory. The easiest way to post Advisory grades is to scroll down in your Campus instruction menu to "post grades".
- You should have at least a few formative grades in the gradebook--progress reports are a check-in for parents as to how their child is doing in your class.
- You cannot enter grades or post grades unless your gradebook is set up.
- For those of you who haven't posted grades before, posting is easy! It's the grading and entering grades that is time-consuming! Please plan ahead.
I can assist with all of this--please reach out! My mobile number is 402.578.4158.

Late Bus Passes: We have started to use some white LATE BUS passes for the late bus students. Please continue to mark the students absent. When they receive the Late Bus pass that means that they have signed in. I will then change the attendance to LATE BUS check in. We need to keep track of all the late bus students. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you for all you do!!

IPads:
TASK FOR CUBS! - Please complete today during Cubs
We are attempting to determine the iPad situation in the building. With MAP testing next week, we want to know:
- Which students are regularly bringing their iPad?
- Which students have an iPad, but are not bringing it?
- Which students do not have an iPad and why?
- If the iPad is damaged or not working?
Here is what I need each teacher to do during cubs.
1.) Access your Cubs class on the appropriate excel document. Click here for the folder. See below for the links to each team.
2.) After accessing the sheet. Find your name on the tabs at the bottom.
3.) Ask each student to bring you their iPad and fill in the columns.
- The Asset tag # is located on the back of the iPad. It is a 7 digit number like 0544862. Do not type the OPS Phone number - 402-593-7546.
- If the students iPad is at home, put down a YES, but at that in the comments. Encourage the student to bring this daily.
- In the comments you can list if the student needs a charger, the screen is cracked, etc.
Thank you for helping with this important task! If you need assistance, please call for me and I can help.
MAP Testing Schedule
- 8AM to 11 AM - Middle School professional learning with school
- 12:30 to 3:30 - Middle School professional learning with CIS
More information in the upcoming weeks.
