PILLAR II: SERVICE
Bert's Big Adventure
This year, we are continuing our partnership with Bert's Big Adventure for our state service project.
Bert's Big Adventure is a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. The organization was started 16 years ago, in 2002, by Bert Weiss from the Bert Show, and continues to work year-round to provide assistance to these children and their families. For more information, visit their website or watch the video below!
Spotlight on Service
Our new initiative, "Spotlight on Service" is an opportunity to highlight exciting, innovating, and successful service projects that various GASC member councils have introduced at their schools. The Spotlight on Service Showcase will feature various services that truly embody what it means to be a servant leader. This will give more service ideas to student councils across the state. This also gives councils the chance to show the state how great they really are!
