World's Most Important Person
Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa Biography
“I found that people starving, no home, and no belongings can still find joy in the world,” said Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, also known as Mother Teresa, was born August 29, 1910 in Skopje, Siberia. She was 1 of 3 children. Her parents were great role models. They taught Agnes and her siblings to show kindness, respect, and compassion to everyone. At 18 she chose to be a nun. I believe Mother Teresa changed the world by acts of kindness and compassion towards the needy. Mother Teresa was inspiring to all.
At the age of 18, Mother Teresa, decided to be a nun and to devote her entire life to the sick, dying, and the poorest of the poor. Mother Teresa was a compassionate person. She opened a house for the dying, where people in India could go to die with dignity and a friend. She also opened a school for kids where they could learn proper hygiene and academics. She also opened orphanages for abandoned kids. She did not want any children to have to live alone with out someone to care for them. Mother Teresa can be described as selfless because she always fed those in need before herself. She also believed in living like those she served, with no material belongings.
In 1948, Mother Teresa moved to Calcutta, India, with no money and only a few weeks of medical training. She built a hospital and a village for lepers to go to for care and acceptance. Her organization, Missionaries of Charity, expanded on every continent except Antarctica. Mother Teresa taught by example. She would never ask someone to do something she would not do. People thought highly of her and wanted to follow her example. This made it so that people continued to open more organizations to help those in need.
I admire the way Mother Teresa always thought about others before herself. She risked her life saving people from disasters. For example, Mother Teresa traveled to Lebanon during a war to save children who were left behind. She also helped people who were near a gas leak in India. She put herself in danger to make the world a better place.
In conclusion, Mother Teresa was a very selfless woman. She always thought of others first. I chose to write this paper on Mother Teresa because she made a big impact on the world .She loved everybody equally. She never turned her back on anyone. She died in 1997 but still influences many people around the world today! Mother Teresa was selfless, loving, and hard working. Mother Teresa really changed the world!
