February 24-28 PACK Healthy Snack week
Monday, February 24th is PACK RED DAY
Consider strawberries, apples, cherries, cherry tomatoes, dried cranberries, red bell pepper strips.
Tuesday, February 25th is PACK YELLOW DAY
Consider bananas, peaches, pineapple, yellow bell pepper strips.
Wednesday, February 26th is PACK GREEN DAY
Consider broccoli florets, green grapes, celery sticks, green apples, green bell pepper strips.
Thursday, February 27th is PACK PURPLE DAY
Consider purple grapes, raisins, plums, blueberries, grape juice.
Friday, February 28th is PACK ORANGE DAY
Consider oranges, baby carrots, dried apricots, mango segments, tangerines.
***Please be on the lookout for our field trip permission slip forms. We will be going to Heritage Farmstead in Plano on March 17!

Language Arts: Students can begin to make connections between literary and informational texts
Math: Students will be able to represent equivalent fraction by using a number line.
Science: Students can demonstrate and communicate my knowledge of organisms and environments.
Social Studies: Students will interpret visuals to identify services provided by local, state, and national governments
Homework:
Reading: Please make sure your child is reading 20 minutes a day and then writing a 3-5 sentence response about what they read in their reading log notebook.
Math: Please make sure to check your child's planner on a daily basis for math homework assignments.
February 24-28
Language Arts: Students can retell and paraphrase a literary nonfiction text in a way that maintains meaning and logical order.
Math: Students will compare two fractions with the same numerator or denominator in problems by reasoning about their sizes and justifying the conclusion using symbols, words, objects and pictorial models
Science: Students will show their understanding of organisms and environments.
Social Studies: Students will distinguish between fact and opinion and participate in government in order to understand a democratic society is based on individual rights, freedoms, and responsibilities..
Homework:
