10/5/2018- Your Weekly Update for Mayfield Intermediate
Thank You for Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you to all the parents and teachers for their efforts in the parent teacher conference days on Thursday and Friday. We had so many students and families come in to Mayfield to learn about all the amazing opportunities that are being provided to their child during the school year. It takes a collaborative team effort among the entire community in order to create a successful school. So once again, thank you to everyone for their time and effort on Thursday and Friday.

Mayfield's International and Heritage Night
Mayfield Intermediate School will hold an International and Heritage Night in November as a way to celebrate our school community's diverse population. Our goal is for families to participate and help show the school community a part of their culture and heritage that they are proud of.
We are looking for families to volunteer in a variety of ways. Some examples of ways to volunteer and help make this night successful include:
- Bringing a food dish to share
- Sharing information about their culture
- Performing a traditional song, dance or instrumental piece on stage
- Sharing items that are unique to where their family is from
- Displaying your heritage by dressing in traditional clothing and participating in the Parade of Nations

Mayfield Robotics Update
We have two teachers who have been selected to be the robotics coaches for Mayfield Intermediate. Ms. Torres and Ms. Tibbs, both 6th grade teachers, have offered their time and knowledge to help our robotics team. In the next couple weeks we will meet and get interest forms out to students. We are very excited to see what our Mayfield Bobcats can do with our robotics program!
