Multiplication Facts
Please practice multiplication facts with your child. Spending 10 minutes working on facts per night or every other night, really makes a difference in their success with Math in Focus. Factors and multiples have both been covered. Finding factors and multiples is much easier when facts are memorized. Students must have their facts memorized.
Ideas to practice:

Little Caesar's Fundraiser
Remember, the Little Caesar's fundraiser is now under way. Materials were sent home as part of the Mackinac packets. Orders are due on October 26th. Pick up will take place in the middle school parking lot on November 3rd.
If you are participating, we ask that you have your customers write any checks payable to YOU. You will then write only ONE check payable for your entire order to Torrey Hill. If you have any questions, please contact Misty Julian at mjul3@yahoo.com or feel free to email me. Thank you!
The online fundraising code you will need is #323404
Pumpkin Messages
The Pumpkin Message Sale begins next week! The Fourth Grade students will be selling Pumpkin-Grams which will be delivered each afternoon beginning Thursday, October 20th and will run through Oct. 26th (or until pumpkin supplies run out! ) The prices are as follows: 25 cents/paper pumpkin message; $1.00/gourd or tiny pumpkin; $2.00/pie pumpkin; $3.00/largest size pumpkin. The sale will run during lunch periods. Proceeds from the sale benefit the fourth grade general fund, which is used to pay for odds and ends related to the trip.
Socktober
This cause is particularly close to my heart as my family's lives have been enriched by two beautiful girls through the foster care system.
Please be sure to put a note on any donations indicating your child's name and my name because our generous PTO has agreed to provide a pizza party for the classroom that collects the most socks and underwear for this wonderful cause! Let's go superheroes!!
