Our Mission

The YPG seeks to mobilize the next generation of volunteers and leaders by providing opportunities for young professionals to engage within the community.

"A community is most successful when people abandon disassociation and engage each other as friends. The Salvation Army Young Professionals Group strives to support these relationships and facilitate neighborly companionship between its members and the society at large."

-President and Co-Founder Alex McDonnell

Poverty Walk

Saturday, April 19th, 8am

1610 Olive St

St Louis, MO

The Poverty Walk, hosted by The Bridge St. Louis, is a great way for people to experience first-hand a little of what it’s like to have to travel place to place to receive some of life’s basic needs: food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, etc.

Along the trail, participants will see other agencies in the city that offer services and will hear a little about those services. They will see shelters where people can spend the night, and learn about alternate overnight spaces like the encampment under a bridge.

There is a fee of $10.00 per participant, which supports The Bridge's services for the homeless.

There will be two sessions.

10-12 people will be allowed in each session.

Walk #1: 8:00-10:00am

Walk #2: 10:00am-noon
