Message from the Principal

Hello Prairie Friends and Families,

It was wonderful to be able to welcome your learners back to school at Prairie this week. Our teachers took the time to review routines and procedures and welcome learners back to their classroom communities. Students did a great job of transitioning back to in-person learning.

We celebrated Veterans this week with an all-school read aloud and by sending cards and letters to Operation Gratitude. Our learners were incredibly thoughtful about their words and drawings. Thank you to any Veterans that are a part of our Prairie community. We are filled with gratitude for the sacrifices you've made and continue to make for all of us.

The Cards for a Cause fundraiser hosted by our PTA starts today! Scroll down to learn more!

We are Team Prairie!

We are stronger together!

Carly Solberg

All students and staff are invited to help raise money for the Prairie PTA by selling boxes of beautifully embellished greeting cards. Card boxes sell for $30 each with the PTA receiving $13 from each box sold! There are 5 box styles available containing 30 or 50 cards. These boxes are a great value! They are so convenient to have on hand when special occasions pop up and they also make fantastic gifts!

Card box sale officially begins today!

Sale will run through Monday, November 30. All order forms and payments need to be returned to Prairie by this day.

There are two ways to collect orders:

1. Use a printed order form and collect payments by cash or check. A copy of this order form is being sent home with in-person students today. Virtual students can access a pdf of the order form here:

2. Provide this online order link to your family and friends:

They can either pay online by credit card or provide a check to you.

Checks should be made payable to Prairie PTA.

Prizes up for grabs!

Any student of staff member who sells at least 10 boxes will be eligible to win a $50 VISA gift card or a $25 VISA gift card!

Early Pick Up for Students

If you need to pick up your student early for any reason or for appointments during the day, please come in to the lobby and buzz the office. We will call your child down at that point and sign them out from the office. It is helpful to email the teacher and Mrs. Anderson of expected times so we can try to have them ready to leave.

Dropping off Supplies

We have a new procedure in place if you need to drop off student materials during the day (lunch, homework, jackets, iPads, etc). The outside door to the lobby of the school is open. There are "drop off tickets" on the table inside the door. Please complete your child's name, grade/teacher, and the item being delivered with any special instructions. We will deliver it to the classroom just as soon as we can. Thank you for your support.
