Cancer is NOT our friend.

We now have two siblings of Longbranch students diagnosed with cancer. One is 4 years old and many of you know that Sophia is 5. We are asking you to send happy greeting cards to school sealed and signed. You can address to: A __________ Longhorn. You insert the adjective. Amazing, strong, beautiful, fierce...whatever adjective you choose. We will divide them out evenly and give to parents to share with their children as they choose.

Report Card Correction

On the bottom of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade report cards there is an error. The report card indicates that we are off school on November 7th for Election Day. We are actually off school on November 8th for Election Day. We do want the kids to be at school on the 7th for Leadership Day. :)

You are invited to our Practice Leadership Day on 10/31!

Our practice day will be held on October 31st. Doors will open at 8:45am. Our students will be practicing greeting guests, holding doors, passing out nametags and folders, guiding people to opening ceremony, running through the opening ceremony, serving breakfast, cleaning up from breakfast, guiding groups of 10 to classrooms and panels, touring the building with our guests, and facilitating the closing ceremony.

If you can participate, please sign up here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409054caaae22a64-practice

Kroger Cards Help Generate BIG MONEY for Our School

Kroger donates 4% of all money you spend after you scan your Kroger Plus card as long as you connect the Plus card to our Longbranch PTA account.

If 400 families connected their cards and spent $100 a week at Kroger, each family would make $4 per week. That's $1600 a week. That's $19,000 a quarter. That's unreal. That's plain and simple easy money.

We encourage you to visit Kroger.com and create an account. Click Community Rewards. Search for Longbranch and connect your plus card with Longbranch PTA. It's the EASIEST fundraiser you'll ever participate in, period.
