Adopt A Classroom
AEF Adopt a Classroom
Help Spread Kindness! Let’s team up for Aledo teachers! Help us reach our goal of adopting every classroom in Aledo ISD and further enhance our students’ experiences. As part of AEF's annual campaign we offer several sponsorship opportunities! A $150 donation will help support one amazing AISD teacher. All donations are tax-deductible and will support our students and AISD staff, by taking the burden off of our educators who personally purchase items annually for their classrooms. https://www.aledoef.org/achieving-excellence-fund

The Aledo ISD Student Wellness Survey
The Aledo ISD Student Wellness Survey conducted by Panorama will be given to all Aledo ISD 5th-12th graders the week of November 7. The Student Wellness Survey covers topics such as sense of belonging, social awareness, challenging feelings and positive feelings.
Why does Aledo ISD conduct student wellness surveys? Since the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown that saw students struggling with things like self confidence, anxiety, school work and wellness, we have used these surveys to better understand the needs of our students. From our surveys - along with taking feedback from students, teachers and parents - we have made some positive changes to things we do every day for our students. The response to the outcome of this survey has included starting our Bearcats of Character and Bearcat Ambassadors programs and our school counselors focusing on certain types of support for students.
Just as recently as last week, we heard from a high school student how being new to the district made the start of the year tough but that Start with Hello Week really turned things in a positive direction after a fellow student made the simple step of saying, “Hello” each day. It is our hope that every student has felt a positive impact of these changes.
Surveys will be emailed to student email addresses and completed at school during designated dates/times on each campus the week of November 7. To review the survey questions, please visit this website.
Positivity Project Character Trait of the Week: Bravery
Definition: You act with mental, moral, or physical strength even when you know things are difficult or scary.
Quote: “The moment you doubt you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it…to have faith is to have wings.”
” - J.M. Barrie
Watch the video together as a family and use the following questions as a guide to your discussion!

What are some examples of bravery that you witnessed? Being brave does not mean never being afraid. Share an example of a time when you felt afraid, but bravely pushed forward. What are the fears that hold you back from being brave? How can you overcome those fears?
