EXPLORING JEWISH VIEWS OF THE AFTERLIFE: CONTEMPORARY IMPLICATIONS
Does Judaism believe in the afterlife? Unequivocally, the answer is yes! However, today many are unaware of traditional Jewish wisdom on life after death. This program explores Judaism’s little-known teachings on the afterlife, particularly in Jewish mysticism. Through study and discussion with Reb Simcha Raphael, author of the classic study Jewish Views of the Afterlife, we shall discover the contemporary relevance of these teachings in dealing with the human encounter with death. We shall also learn about the connection between afterlife teachings and traditional Jewish bereavement rituals.
