Message from Dr. Connery
Greetings Simpson Parents,
Of course you all heard in the news regarding Governor Kemp's closing of all Georgia Schools until the end of the year. All of our health care professionals are trying to do their best with lowering the curve of infections and preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, at Simpson Elementary, we will continue with our instructional best practices with Digital Learning Days (DLD) until further notice from district officials. With this in mind, as a local school, we have done an amazing job planning lessons with a content focus. Now that we are in this transition for the long term, as a school we are going to move into a more personalized approach by connecting virtually. Therefore, please be prepared to have information coming soon from your child's teacher eClass Page regarding a "Catch Up Day." We will continue to follow our grade level standards AKS Pacing Calendar to drive our instruction but also use this day to assist students better with having the ability to complete any missing assignments, go to their connection eClass Pages, and allow teachers this time to collaboratively plan enriching lessons virtually for your child. Therefore, starting April 6th, please be prepared for your child to receive communication regarding Catch Up Day for more details. In addition, let's continue to lift up our spirits of our staff, students, and parents by joining me in our first DLD Spirit Week!!! Starting Monday, please feel free to email me pics of your child or family members dressed up to show off their school spirit! You never know, some of them might find their way on our Twitter Page (smile)!!!!
TaffetaSimpson Elementary Staff Parade
There are not enough words to express how much the community enjoyed our Simpson Staff Parade! Your generosity of time, warm caring signs, smiling faces and heart felt waves meant the WORLD to not only our teachers but our families. I want to take this time again to thank all of those who assisted with planning, preparation and attendance! Mr. Wilbanks, always states, "Great Schools build Great Communities and in turn Great Communities build Great Schools!" Wow! You ALL delivered on showing our community how much you care! A TREMENDOUS "THANK YOU" again goes out to our entire Peachtree Corners Community! A special Thank you to our Kindergarten Teacher, Ms. Arnold for planning this special day for us and I THANK everyone who made this event possible for our Superstars. With the uncertainty of these times, I hope our kids will cherish this fun experience in their hearts forever! ❤️

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE PTA
By now you have all heard the news that the remainder of the school year will be completed in the safety of our homes with digital learning. These are unprecedented times and we are working closely with the school administration to adjust to our new norm and working on a plan to filter our remaining funds to meet the needs of the school, Simpson families and the community.
Thank you to all our parents and families for your donations, time and commitment to the Simpson PTA this year.
The Executive Board is still busy working out many end of year details with the school. We will be in touch soon regarding closing out this school year, yearbooks and looking ahead to 2020-2021.
Wishing all our families health and safety during this time.
Best,
Mallory Even and Brittany Adams
