Notes and Updates
Hi parents,
I hope everyone is enjoyed the weekend. Last week on Wednesday, we had nursing students from the University of Calgary visit the 1st grade to teach us about how germs spread and some good techniques for hand washing. Students had a coloring page that if they finished it and return it to school, they will get a prize! Be sure to send that back to school by the end of the week.
In Science students sorted animals by observable characteristics and practiced using story robe to investigate how animals move, eat, and what their protective covering is.
In Writing students worked on planning poems and looking at objects with new eyes.
In reading students practiced retelling books and self correcting. They also worked on their word wall words.
Cheers,
Shannon Keane
