Ms. Schoon's Class Newsletter

December 16, 2015

This week...

Happy Holidays! We had a wonderful trip to St. Augustine yesterday. Thank you to all of the chaperones who accompanied our group! I've added some pictures from Mrs. Lawrence's camera below, but I will share more as I receive them.

Tomorrow the students will be taking a long division quiz. Some students are forgetting the steps from one day to the next, so it is vital that students continue to practice at home. I keep telling them, it's like riding a bike...once you get the hang of it, you'll remember it forever. I truly think they just need more practice with it, which makes me nervous with the upcoming break.

Although students will have no required homework over the winter break, it would be helpful for them to continue to read every day, practice multiplication facts, and also practice long division. I promise it will make January way easier!

One more thing...please keep up with science projects and logbooks. Final projects are due Tuesday, January 19. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Most of all, have a relaxing, joyous holiday with your amazing children and families!

Warm wishes,

Ms. Schoon
