A Message from the Principal
Greetings St. Anthony Catholic High School Community!
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28
We had a busy week filled with the many great works our students are doing to serve our Lord during this Advent Season. Last Tuesday, we had a special celebration for Our Lady of Guadalupe with a beautiful performance from our theater department. It truly depicted the miracle Mary was to Juan Diego and her beautiful spirit. See pictures below.
During this past week, we had students volunteering at the Las Posadas for the Visitation House with Archbishop Gustavo. We had our Robotics Club volunteering at Elf Louise distributing presents to many children. We had our Young Oblates and Knitting Club serving the homeless with food and specially made scarves. We love the Yellow Jacket spirit of compassion always shining through! See pictures below.
On Friday, we had a special pep rally and ring ceremony to celebrate the 2017 State Softball Champs led by Coach Ramos who not only leads her team to a state champship but has dedicated nearly every Sunday afternoon this past month to tutor athletes. She leads by example with making sure students are learning and playing to the best of their abilities. See pictures below.
We have a special opportunity to give back to the Sutherland Springs community as I mentioned last month. This is the final week we will be collecting any items, toys or gift cards for the only 2 surviving kids from the tragedy. Please donate any item that could they could use or any amount of gift card. We want to share God's love with them and make sure they have a Merry Christmas. See flyer below.
The St. Anthony Catholic High School Alumni will be having a special Christmas Eve mass at 7:00pm in the chapel with Father Hall. We invite any family or community member to attend. It will be a very special evening filled with Yellow Jackets celebrating the birth of Jesus! Come join this special celebration. Everyone is welcome.
Final exams begin tomorrow. Students are allowed to bring a snack and/or water/healthy beverage during this week. Dismissal is at 11:30am. We are praying for great success for all of our students to finish this first semester with positive grades on their transcripts.
We wish the entire SACHS Community a beautiful Christmas with the light of Jesus shining in your homes and your hearts! We are beyond blessed to have each of you part of the community this year. We are hopeful with a new year coming soon and all the blessings awaiting our Yellow Jacket community!
Dear Heavenly Creator- Thank you for all your good tidings you have brought to us this year. We are so thankful for your presence in our lives. We are honored to serve you and make this world a better place through loving more like you love and living more like you lived. Bring your peace and light to all of the homes of the children you have brought to St. Anthony Catholic High School this Christmas. Keep them safe and keep them loved! Keep them aware of who YOU are! In Jesus Name, Amen.
"Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad." Psalm 96:11
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
May your life be blessed!
